Painting has been my life long desire and hobby. My wife and I moved to the Big Island in 2013 from the Northwest. Now that I am retired I am a full time local artist and working with acrylics.

Beauty is said to follow the soul, be a friend of nature and lover of truth.  Anna Keay does just that, bringing her experiences of beauty directly to the canvas.  Anna gathers inspiration from the redwoods of Humboldt California where she was raised, Greece, Australia, New Zealand, and the breath-taking magic of Hana, Maui where she has lived off and on since 1997.  In Hana, Anna spent time exploring her sister’s flower farm, giving her a radiant urge to replicate its vibrant beauty, to find that “perfect flower”.
While pursuing an art degree at Humboldt State University, Anna also relished in other mediums such as ceramics and jewelry making. After making commissioned paintings for friends and clients she began selling artwork from restaurants, wineries, and galleries in Santa Barbara, CA where she developed a strong reputation as an artist.  She has now transpired as a professional painter, finding that unique detail in nature, that lustful scent of each petal, delighting the eyes and soothing the soul.
Anna now lives on the west side of Maui. She and her husband, glass artist John Lindquist, recently opened their own studio gallery in Lahaina called Kai Pua. You can meet Anna most days at Kai Pua and see live demonstrations daily. Anna also exhibits on Wednesdays at the Four Seasons Artist Showcase in Wailea. Contact Anna for more information. Aloha

While growing up in New York City, Elisheva (Elyse) developed an appreciation for fine art, especially the dreamlike paintings of Marc Chagall and Impressionistic artists such as Claude Monet. She won an art contest at an early age and later in life was hired to teach art at Kealekehe Middle School. After retiring from full time teaching in Hawaii, she started Elisheva Inspired Art and has been selling original oil paintings along with prints and cards for the last six years. Many of her paintings depict scenes of Jewish, Biblical and Israeli life. One of her passions is dancing which is also reflected in many of her art works. She says her art is “Inspired by the Creator”.

My artistic choices are inspired by God’s natural design. The Hawaiian Islands bring out some of God’s best!

Matthew 13:36-38 (NLT) “Then, leaving the crowds outside, Jesus went into the house. His disciples said, “Please explain to us the story of the weeds in the field.” Jesus replied, “The Son of Man is the farmer who plants the good seed. The field is the world, and the good seed represents the people of the Kingdom. The weeds are the people who belong to the evil one.””
